Professionally and personally, I wear many, many hats. I have remained dedicated to political activism for over 10 years. These activities ranged in responsibilities with organizations such as: Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, Liberal Women’s Action Network, Women Organizing Women Democrats, and Women Inspiring Leadership and Democracy. These organizations are very important to me as they represent the needs of my community in working towards a better future.
My career in finance has varied in both role and experience, providing a broad understanding of the complexities of money matters. I used these experiences to shift into a more holistic approach as a Process Consultant, bringing my background of training, problem solving, and coaching to facilitate how to impact current and future state of change.
In early 2019, after the stillbirth of my daughter, I was drawn to support others who have lived this experience. This resulted in the endeavor to establish the 501(c)3 nonprofit Elf Army of Light - a non-religious organization providing support, community, and resources - for bereaved families experiencing pregnancy loss and infant death. An achievement we are proud of is that at the height of COVID-19 pandemic, we provided “comfort boxes” to parents in hospitals as these families were unable to gather to say goodbye.
I left the corporate world with a focus on a career as a financial professional - obtaining my life, disability, and long-term care insurance certifications as well as passing my securities exams. I now focus on the financial planning aspect of the larger financial picture with progressive values at the core.
I talk with my clients about everyday money matters, diversification of risk, and tax strategies while reminding my clients that systemic barriers can be impacted and influenced; for there are things within our control - both on a personal financial level and as part of a wider community.
What I'd like to do is show you how I work with progressive individuals to create a customized financial plan and help move you from your status quo to where you want to be. Scheduling a Get To Know You (GTKY) meeting allows us to talk about whether we’re a good fit for each other and at the end, you decide whether we work together.
